The Story Behind Our Screw
"DELUSIONAL.
WHY VISIONERS SEE THE PATH WHERE OTHERS DON'T"

What do all dreamers and visioners have in common? They are all unREAListic – because their reality, their world is something that doesn’t exist… yet! It is a new reality in the making.

Every visioner will inevitably face naysayers, doubters, and haters who seem to own a stake in other people’s failures. They will say things like “This won’t work,” “This won’t be the next Apple or Amazon,” and “Who will listen to YOU?!” “Who do you think you are? You’re just a lunatic...”

This story is about a dreamer, a visionary, except that he is not your average Joe.. He is a hopeless romantic, irresistibly cute and charming … little screw.
Martin, a tiny used screw with some wear and tear, was left behind in a drawer of the old out-of-business watch repair store.
While other watch parts were content with their “retirement,” Martin’s heart was filled with hope and faith that once again the door of the store would open, and he would get to be a part of a watch and have a whole new life.

The story starts on such a day – the door finally opens, and a potential buyer comes to check out the store…

Rididuled by his shelf-mates, Martin starts to question whether his hopes are realistic. Would the new owner really use old parts or would this be THE END for him and his shelf-mates...

Can a little screw, with already some rust on it, have a future? Was the dream itself an illusory, a safe-haven, only to be shattered by reality? Most importantly, was there anything he could do to turn a matter of chance into a matter of action; to have a say in his own destiny and destinies of others?

At the gate of imminent change, frightened by the thought that the old parts have little chance of surviving, he knew that he could no longer remain a dreamer – he had to take a chance and throw himself and all his effort into the universe, with the hope that destiny would catch him in her warm embrace, before his dreams shattered falling into a bottomless pit, only to echo in his mind until rust slowly eats away his entire little body.

He decides to create the watch he “saw” in his vision, and sets out on an impossible journey into the unknown with absolutely no skill, no experience, no support...
The story has an interesting twist - as it turns out his “label” would make his dream impossible, but, in his ignorance of it, he was able to take all the necessary steps to get just far enough for fate to then allow him to become something he wasn’t meant to be but was nevertheless destined to become...
I want to share this story with every dreamer, every want-to-be entrepreneur, everyone who stands at the threshold of change and wonders if he has what it takes to dare and take the dreaded, but also promising step into the unknown.

And to every dreamer out there:
Your reality doesn't exist, because YOU will be the one to create it.
So, go ahead, stay unREAListic, let life surprise you with a miracle or two
